Dear Jimmy and family,
We are so saddened to hear of Betty’s passing. We enjoyed corresponding with her over the years and visiting with her whenever we traveled to Douglas. Such wonderful visits - always tea and sweets, and, importantly, lots of beautiful stories about her amazing life. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and love were always uplifting. And it’s a blessing that she passed her beautiful stories on to her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. I know she was greatly loved and will be missed. Love and prayers to you and all her family.

Jimmy, Tommy, Becky & Family

Fond memories of listening late into the night to my Great Aunt - Aunty Betty talking about growing up in the Valleys of South Wales and how she missed the carpet of bluebells in the woods above Machen. They will be in bloom again soon.

Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

Dear Jimmy, Tommy, Becki and all of Betty's family, thinking of you all at this time.

Remembering special visits from Aunty Bet and Uncle Porky causing much excitement in our house when we were little. We all loved listening to Aunty Bet's stories and I will always remember and be thankful for their warm welcome, generosity and hospitality when I visited Douglas with Nan all those years ago. Happy memories. Love to you all xx

Jimmy, Tommy, Becki and all the family, sending warmest thoughts at this difficult time. I've spent the last week constantly thinking of the far too few, but nonetheless wonderful, moments spent in Aunty Bet's company. None more so than when I popped over for Mary's funeral and the 2 of us sat up for hours chatting. I was completely engrossed in her tales of Newport during the war and her travel to America, I could have sat there for ever! Lots of love from me, Lindsay, Rhys and Seren - yes those are Welsh first names !! :-)
