Sutton - Joseph W. Wojcik, Jr.  (Pa) 73, of Duval Road in the Manchaug section of Sutton, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 after a brief illness. The love of his life and wife, Anita E. (Fougere) Wojcik died April 21, 2002.
        He leaves his loving daughters: Bobbie Ann Roy of Douglas, his best friend and caregiver,  Betty-Jo Duquette & her husband Gary of Northbridge, and Carole Ranslow & her husband David of Douglas.  He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren:  Matthew Roy “the #1 grandson”, Jennifer Martin & her husband Jason, Robin Vitiello & her husband Steve, Jo-Lynn Boule’, Crystal Tracy & her husband Jonathan, Candy Ranslow, and Alicia Ranslow.  He leaves his great grandchildren who he adored: Malachi Boule, Micah Vitiello, Anya Martin, Dylan Tracy, & one more little one on the way.  He leaves two very dear friends: Jim Ready and Brian Gavin. He is survived by his sister, Stasia Lefrancois & her husband Homer of Uxbridge; his brother, Theodore Wojcik and his wife Karen of Auburn; and many nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Francis Wojcik and a father to the late Sandra Boule’.  Joseph’s legacy is that a “family” is more than blood.  
        Born in Uxbridge, MA on July 26, 1945 he was the son of Joseph Sr. and Sophia E. (Galas) Wojcik and lived in the area all his life. Joseph worked for Nelmor Corp. in Uxbridge for 20 years, previously working for multiple area mills including the former Hayward Schuster Woolen Co. in Douglas. He worked as a machinist for Nypro in Clinton before his retirement. He was educated in the Uxbridge public school system. Joseph was a skilled carpenter and metal worker who loved taking on projects around his home, and the homes of many relatives. He enjoyed polka music and trips to the casino. He was a wonderful and caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be sorely missed by his family.
        Joseph’s funeral will be held Friday, February 15 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. Uxbridge with a Mass at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, 71 Mendon St, Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday February 14 from 5 to 7pm. Memorial donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
