Douglas- Theresa I. (Tetreault) Ferschke, 61, of Johnson Ct. passed away Sun. Nov. 4, 2018 after a long illness.

     She is survived by her companion of 29 years Edward Roy with whom she lived; her 2 children Melissa A. Ferguson of Douglas; and Thea M. Gagliardi of Venice FL; her mother Evelyn (Gaudreau) Tetreault of N. Smithfield; 8 grandchildren Nathan, Taylor, Emily, Keegan, Cameron, Aidan, Jairdan, and Noah; 7 siblings George, Gerry, Eugene, Rene, Michael, Doris and Roland; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Denis G. Ferschkie, a son Denis R. Ferschke and siblings Florence, Leo, and Evelyn. Born in Woonsocket, RI on Dec. 17, 1956 she was daughter of the late Roland Tetreault and lived in Douglas 38 years.

     Theresa worked several years for Filene’s Basement and at the Manchaug Mill.  Educated in the Woonsocket public school system, she was primarily a homemaker, caring for her children and grandchildren over the years. She took great pride in her family and making a home for them. She spoke to everyone she came in contact with and was a positive happy person. She loved the water and enjoyed visits to York Beach, ME.

     Theresa's Funeral Home Service will be held on Thurs. Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. in Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St. Douglas. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held prior to the service from 5 to 8 p.m. To leave a condolence message for her  family please visit
