Uxbridge- John E. Allega, 83, of W. Hartford Ave., passed away on Thurs. July 26 at Beaumont Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
         He is survived by 2 sisters, June Bergeron and her husband Edwin of Uxbridge, and Patricia DiRienzo and her husband John also of Uxbridge. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
         Born in Whitinsville on September 6, 1934, he was the son of John J. and Beatrice (Normandin) Allega, and lived in Uxbridge all of his life. He was a graduate of Uxbridge High School class of 1953, and furthered his education earning a Master’s Degree from Worcester State College. Mr. Allega was a teacher for Uxbridge public schools for over 40 years, teaching social studies. He loved music and dancing, spending time in the sun at Wallum Lake, and was incredibly good at scrabble.
         As to his wishes, John’s services will be privately held at the convenience of his family.

Mr. Allega was a respected teacher in uxbridge high school. He was very professional and I respected him as a great teacher and good customer of our business in uxbridge. Rest in peace mr. Allega.

I worked with John at the school and I told him that if I had had teachers that made Social studies as interesting as he did I would have like the subject. He was one of the best. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
