Uxbridge-   John W. "Jack" Sheeran Jr., 84, of Oak St. died peacefully, at home on Fri. June 8, 2018 with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Rosemary T. (Gallery) Sheeran; his 5 children John W.Sheeran III and his wife Sharyn of Portsmouth RI,  Joseph S. Sheeran of Uxbridge, Catherine R. Scott and her late husband Steven Scott of Uxbridge, William J. Sheeran and his wife Laura of Hopkinton, and Karen E. Spencer and her husband Don of Uxbridge; 10 grandchildren Amy, Andrew, Megan, Nicole, Caitlin, Troy, Colin, Christopher, Nathan, and Brian; as well as many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a daughter Christine M. Sheeran and a son Michael A. Sheeran.

Born in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston on Nov. 14, 1933, he was the son of John W. Sr. and Catherine (Kennedy) Sheeran and lived in Uxbridge 54 years. Mr. Sheeran worked for the Community Action Council as a Fuel Assistance Supervisor for 15 years, retiring in 1998. Previously he was a Supervisor for The Bernat Yarn Co. in Uxbridge. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Charles A. Rice American Legion. Jack was proud of the fact he marched in the Uxbridge Memorial Day and Veterans Day Parades for 50 years, once serving as Parade Marshall. He loved baseball, and volunteered for the Uxbridge Little League.  He also enjoyed building model planes, and playing golf. Family and making a house his home was most important to Jack however. He will be missed.

His funeral will be held Tues. June 12 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. with a Mass at 11 am in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Mon. June 11 from 4 to 7 pm. Donations in his memory may be made to Veteran's Inc., 69 Grove St. Worcester, MA 01605. Joanne and I offer our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Jack Sheehan. Jack’s death leaves all who knew, respected, and loved him with a hole that cannot be filled! Jack and the Sheehan family are in our prayers!
