North Uxbridge- John “Randy” Lomas, 57, of W. Hartford Ave. died Fri. March 9, 2018 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

     He is survived by his fiancée and soul mate Lisa M. Allega with whom he lived; a son Dustin R. Lomas of N. Providence; his “surrogate” children, Amanda L. Palmieri of Uxbridge and Christopher C. Palmieri of Dudley; his sister Debi L. Lomas of Tampa FL, a niece Brenda and her husband Mike Menendez; a great nephew Anthony Menendez; a great niece Kameryn Menendez; as well as other close family, friends, and the family cat, his “furbaby” Sherpa. Born in Fall River, MA on Oct. 6, 1960 he was son of the late John “Sonny” Jr. and Maria P. (Tavares) Lomas and has lived in N. Uxbridge 27 years.

     A jack of all trades Randy worked as a draftsman and carpenter, owning and operating House Dr. He was also a Sound Engineer for Taft Sound for 25 years and worked at EAW in Whitinsville 15 years. He was a graduate of Taunton Regional High School, enjoyed fly-fishing for trout and was a longtime member of the Uxbridge Rod and Gun Club. Always a music lover he liked the Grateful Dead, trips to Disney, and spending summers in Narragansett with his sister Debi. Family was most important to Randy. One of his favorite things was organizing his family’s Thanksgiving Day Ginger Bread House competition. He attended Good Shepherd Church.

Uxbridge with a Mass at NOON in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood Ave. Linwood. Private burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home are THURS.
