Northbridge- Doris C. (Marshall) Richard McCourt, 92, passed away Sun. Oct. 29, at Beaumont Nursing Home in Worcester after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her first husband Norman J. Richard in 1977, and her second husband William McCourt in 1998.

She is survived by a daughter Rhonda A. Lavallee and her husband John of Whitinsville, 5 grandchildren; Amanda Lavallee of Whitinsville, Jonathan Lavallee and his wife Paula of Whitinsville, Joshua Richard of Portsmouth NH., Amie Hagen of Somersworth NH., and Justin Richard of Travers City MI., 2 great grandchildren; Teagan Rose Lavallee, and Jonathan “JJ” Lavallee Jr., and a god-son David Trottier of Uxbridge. She was also predeceased by a son Dean C. Richard, and 5 siblings; Oliver, Frederick, Raymond, & Alfred Marshall, and Loretta Marshall-Trottier.

Born in Northbridge on June 28, 1925 she was the daughter of Oliver and Florence (McDonald) Marshall and was a lifelong resident of Northbridge. She worked as an office caretaker and cleaner for 35 years for the former Hayward Schuster Mills in Douglas. She was a very involved member of the Northbridge Seniors, who taught aerobics classes and shuffleboard, and dressed as Santa yearly. Doris was also an avid golfer, gardener, & pool player, who will be remembered for her bubbly, and outgoing personality. Doris was a woman of great faith and a life long member of St. Patrick’s Church. She was loved by everyone who got to know her and prayers are gratefully accepted.

Her funeral will be held from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. Whitinsville, with calling hours offered on Fri. Nov. 3 from 5-7 pm. Her Memorial Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville will be on Fri. Nov. 10 at 11am. Burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of the family. My feisty and proud aunt, and God Mother. I have fond memory s of her. she was very good to me, during some very hard times. The family has reunited , all together. RIP my dear aunt.
