Douglas- Rose A. (Zacchilli) Picard, 65, passed away peacefully Fri. October 20, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Robert P. Picard.

She also leaves two children, Michelle L. Wheeler of Douglas, and Ryan P. Picard of Wesley Chapel FL, 4 grandchildren, Bryan and Evan Wheeler, and Bryce and Ella Picard, siblings; Angie Keeler of Sebastion FL ,Carol Gagnon of N. Smithfield RI, Mary Brundage of Uxbridge, and Helen Zacchilli of Woonsocket RI, many nieces and nephews, and lots of great friends.

Born in Woonsocket RI, on Sept. 28, 1952 she was the daughter of Primo Tony and Sophie (Popek) Zacchilli and grew up in Millville. She has been a resident of Douglas the past 40 years. Her family was her life and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She worked as a bus driver for 30 years for numerous companies and most recently she worked for Vendetti Motors, driving for Blackstone Valley Technical High School.

Bob and family,

Rose was a wonderful person and great friend. I was touched by her fighting spirit. She will be missed by all who knew her. I was blessed to have known her. thank you for inviting me to say goodbye to my friend.
