Whitinsville- Antoinette M. “Ann” (Yacino) White, 89, passed away on Tues. Aug. 8, 2017, at Beaumont Nursing Home where she has been a resident the past 3 years. She was predeceased by her husband Donald F. White Sr. in 2001.
She is survived by 2 sons; Norman R. “Skip” White and his wife Wanda of Uxbridge, and Donald F. White Jr. and his wife Debbie of Milford, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Rodney in 1995, and 11 siblings; Louis, Felix, Tony, Junie, Fannie, Rosie, Josie, Mickey, Carrie, Mary Ann, and Albert.
Born on May 21, 1928 in Douglas, Ann was the daughter of Dominic and Marietta (Fulone) Yacino and has lived in the area all her life. She worked for Sears for 35 years in Whitinsville until they closed, and then transferred to the Auburn Mall where she worked until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church. Ann loved cooking, family gatherings, traveling and was especially fond of casino trips and scratch tickets.
Her Funeral will be held on Fri. Aug. 11 with a Mass at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church in Whitinsville, 1 Cross St. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thur. Aug. 10 from 5-8 pm. at Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. Whitinsville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be made to: The Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd. My condolences to the family. I remember Ann very well. Great sense of humor. Her husband Don was a great guy and an excellent athlete. They made a fine couple.

Aunt Ann you will be missed, i enjoyed our visits over the last 5 or 10 years. We had a lot of laughs. So sorry Don and Skip, I was hoping she would wait for me to come home, but someone above me had a different plan I guess.

OH, no, I am so sorry to hear of Ann's passing. It was an honor for the cats and I to visit a fellow cat lady over the last 3 years. I just found out yesterday during our visits, or I certainly would have attended her service. She will be dearly missed. Please accept our sincere condolences and let me know if there's anything the cats and I can do to help. I do have some nice photos of her with the cats, so let me know if you would like them.
