Jeffrey D. Brooks, 54, of 327 Main Street, Douglas, MA, passed away in his home on April 23, 2017, following an illness. Jeff was born in Whitinsville, MA on August 14, 1962.  Jeff shared his birthday with his twin sister, Julie, and was proud of this unique bond that they shared.
Jeff was educated in the Northbridge Public Schools, and worked at Fenwal Corp. in Ashland, MA, before realizing his dream job as a corporate travel agent for EMC, where he worked for many years. Jeff lived for travel and adventure, and enjoyed traveling to Jamaica and other locations around the USA.  He was skilled in and enjoyed assisting clients and friends in arranging their travel plans. His love of travel took him outside of New England’s unpredictable climate, as he relocated to Phoenix, AZ where he lived for many years – the Southwest was Jeff’s life-long love, and he thoroughly enjoyed this time in his life before health issues necessitated his return to family and friends in the Northeast. Jeff was extremely proud and grateful for his large, extended family and enjoyed relationships with his aunts and uncles, and especially enjoyed connecting and catching up with his cousins at “cousin parties”.  However, he felt the deepest bond as one of six children with his own birth family, whom he spoke with daily and who supported him with love.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Joseph H. and Joan (Deschene) Brooks, Jr. of Dover-Foxcroft, ME (formerly of Whitinsville, MA); four sisters: Joan Brothers (Charles), Julie Phelps (Jason), Lisa Cove (James), all of Douglas, and Lynn Johnson (Eric) of Topsham, ME; a brother, Joseph H. Brooks III (Cheryl) of North Grosvenordale, CT, as well as 5 nephews and 4 nieces, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Additionally, Jeff is survived by his close, life-long friends, Peggy Calloway of Phoenix, AZ, and Clyde Anderson of Houston, TX.
His funeral will be held Fri. April 28, 2017 from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. Whitinsville with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thurs. April 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeff’s memory to the St. Patrick’s Ministry Program, P.O. So many childhood memories. So many days spent at your parents house growing up hanging out with you, Lisa and Julie everyday after school. Jeff, rest easy my friend, watch over your family and all who knew you and loved you. In my thoughts and prayers.

Words are not adequate to express my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Jeffrey was the most loving, patient and forgiving person I have ever known. Not only that he gave the best hugs. I am so deeply saddened for your loss. You could not meet Jeff and not like him. Jeffrey touched many lives in Arizona. I for one will miss him with all my heart. As you are grieving in the most difficult of times please know that I am here for you. Please reach out if there is anything I can do. I Love You All !!!!!
