Douglas- Margaret M. Dillon, 52, of Douglas, formerly of Worcester, died Thurs. Aug 25, 2016 surrounded by her loving family, after a brief battle with cancer.
     She is survived by her 2 loving sons Patrick T. Dillon and Victor A. Doyon both of Douglas; her granddaughter Marley A. Dillon; 3 siblings Mary Dillon and her husband Joe FitzGerald of Paxton,  Noreen Dillon of Paxton, and Denis and his wife Beth Dillon of Rye, NH; her longtime companion Fred V. Doyon of Douglas; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins here and in Ireland. She was predeceased by a brother Patrick Dillon. Born in Worcester, MA on Aug 31, 1963, she was daughter of the late Thomas “Pick” and Catherine “Josie” (Tangney) Dillon, and lived in Douglas 22 years, previously living in Worcester.
     Margaret worked as a Nurse’s Aide for several local nursing homes including Beaumont of Northbridge and Blackstone Nursing Home. A 1981 graduate of South High School, she enjoyed spending time with her sons, friends, and family at home, at Charlestown Beach, RI, and in Ireland. She had a special bond with her beloved granddaughter Marley. Margaret was a lighthearted and kind person who provided unconditional care and compassion to everyone. Her gift of humor brightened those around her. She will be deeply missed.
     Her funeral will be held Mon. Aug. 29, 2016 from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St. Douglas, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Denis Church, 23 Manchaug St. Cremation will follow. Calling hours at the funeral home in Douglas are Sun. Aug. 28 from 3 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608. www.jackmanfuneralhome.com
