Uxbridge- Ronald D'Alfonso, 65, died Thurs. July 9 at UMass Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by 3 sons; Michael D'Alfonso, Thomas D'Alfonso, and Mathew D'Alfonso all of Uxbridge, a granddaughter; 3 brothers, Richard D'Alfonso of Uxbridge, Paul S. D'Alfonso and his wife Dawn of Linwood, and James Waterman of Northbridge; a sister Patricia Stefanick of Uxbridge; and 2 nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Charlene D'Alfonso.  Born on Feb. 23, 1950 he was the son of Gennaro "Jerry" and Eileen (Waterman) D'Alfonso and has lived in Uxbridge all his life. Ron worked as a self employed Mason for many years. He loved all sports and teaching his nephews to play them.  He also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. Ronald was a straight to the point type of guy and will be missed by all his family and many friends.
     Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.  Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. Uxbridge is handling arrangements. To leave a condolence message for the family please visit

I'm so very sad to hear about Ronnie's passing. Although I haven't seen him in a lot of years, he was always one of my favorite people. Rest in peace.
