Whitinsville- Raymond J. LeClaire, 82, passed away on Mon. Nov. 4, 2019 at UMass University Campus after a period of declining health.
He was predeceased by both his parents Arthur and Maria (Blais) LeClaire in the 80’s. He had been a resident of the Crescent Manor Rest Home in Grafton for about 30 years, where he had a huge fan club, and leaves many good friends.

Born in Whitinsville on June 10, 1937 he grew up on A Street, and attended Northbridge schools. Ray was a star football player for Northbridge High School before graduating in 1955. He then worked as a Mechanic in the 60’s, and as a laborer for the local Mills in the 70’s. He was an avid Red Sox fan who will be remembered as “a happy go lucky person who always wore a smile.” Up until recently Ray attended the Blaire House Adult Day Health Program in Milford, where he had went for decades. Ray really enjoyed outings in Whitinsville, visiting his old school and many places around town. His favorite foods included hot dogs, and hot fudge sundaes with whipped cream and extra cherries.

He was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Church. Ray’s services will be private, and he will be buried next to his parent’s at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. To leave a condolence message please visit: http://www.Jackmanfuneralhomes.com
