Whitinsville - Robert A.J. Castonguay, 77, from the Linwood section of Whitinsville passed away on Thurs. Feb. 11 after a brief battle with cancer.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Donna R. (Wilkinson) Castonguay; 5 children Brenda and her husband John, Robert Jr. and his wife Laurie, John and his wife Cheryl, Michelle and her significant other Tony, and Denise and her husband Stephen; 11 grandchildren; 3 great granddaughters; a brother Ronald; 2 sisters Barbara and Patricia; and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by a sister Pauline and a brother Gerald.
     Born in Manville, RI on Nov. 15, 1938 he was the son of the late Roger and Cecile (Savage) Castonguay.  Upon graduation from Uxbridge High School, Robert enlisted and served as a Tech Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years.  His second career was spent working for Baystate Abrasives.
