Sutton-Kenneth “Ken” P. Garron, 54, of Hough Rd. passed away on Mon., Jan. 18, with his loving family by his side after a long, courageous battle with cancer treatment complications. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Susan M. (Rocheleau) Garron; two daughters, Nicole Stonebreaker and her husband, John, and Amanda Kania and her husband, Nicholas, both of Oxford; 3 grandchildren, Aubrie, Madison and Eva; sister, Penelope Taylor of Ashland; brother, Bernard L. Garron of Hopkinton, and several nieces and nephews. Born in Framingham on Sept. 26, 1961 he was the son of the late Bernerd L. and Marion (Johnson) Garron and lived in Ashland.
A graduate of Ashland High School and college at Northeastern University, he had an occupation as a salesman ending his career due to illness at Koopman Lumber. Ken was the assistant football coach for Northbridge High School for 30 years and also for Blackstone Valley Tech. and Auburn High School for a short time. He was a member of St. Mark’s Church in Sutton. He enjoyed a variety of sports, especially football, fishing, and Sunday’s with his family.
Through his battle with cancer, Ken redefined strength by defying odds with incredible will power and, often, a sense of humor. However, he is not just defined by these events. Ken was, first and foremost, a loving family-man, but also a prominent mentor within the Northbridge community for many years.
Ken may no longer physically be with us, but his spirit will live on in all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
