Uxbridge – Beverly R. (Philbrook) Novack, 86, formerly of Rice St. died Sat. Oct. 24 at the Brookdale Nursing Ctr. in Smithfield, RI after an illness. Her husband of 53 years Frank Novack died June 9, 2003.
     She is survived by her daughter Karen B. Piazza of Attleboro; 2 sons, Stephen F. Novak of Whitinsville and John F. Novack of Douglas; 3 granddaughters, a grandson; 4 sisters Marion, Lillian,  Doris, and Hildegard; and several nieces and nephews.  A sister Marjorie died as an infant. Born in Whitinsville on Jan. 14, 1929 she was the daughter of Milton and Emma (Basinait) Philbrook and lived in Whitinsville and Uxbridge all her life.  
     Beverly was a homemaker, caring for her family over the years. She enjoyed dining out, playing cards, and bingo. She was an avid reader and loved visiting the area casinos.
      Her funeral service will be held on Thurs Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge.  Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thurs  Oct. 29 from 4 to 6 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Bev’s memory may be made to the American Heart Assn. 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
