Whitinsville- Waltina K. (Kurowski) Greene, 98, of Colonial Drive passed away on Wed. March 28, 2018 at her home after a brief illness. 
            She is survived by her 2 daughters Shirley N. Godbout and her husband William of Canton, GA, and G. Alice Hassan of  WA; a grandchild Marty Correia and spouse Kate Conroy of NYC; 2 nieces Arlene Kurowski of Uxbridge, Nancy Naylor of Uxbridge; and a nephew Wayne LeBlanc of Shrewsbury. She was predeceased by 4 siblings, John Kurowski, Frank Kurowski, Eugene Kurowski, and Stella LeBlanc. 
            Born in Northbridge on Jan. 22, 1920 she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Masoon) Kurowski and grew up in Northbridge. She lived in town most of her life and graduated from Northbridge High School. She lived in Dennis, MA for 10 years. Tina worked as a very caring and dedicated geriatric LPN for Wayside Manor in Whitinsville, Beaumont in Northbridge, and her last place of employment was at Cushing Hospital in Framingham where she worked 18 years until her retirement in 1987. A very social woman, Tina was a member of the Mass Mental Health Nurses Assoc., The Assoc. of Marian Fathers, and the Uxbridge & Northbridge Senior Centers. She enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, spending time with other local seniors, and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Church.
            Her memorial funeral Mass will be held on Tues. April 10 at 11 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tina’s memory may be made to either the Northbridge Senior Center, 20 Highland St., Whitinsville MA 01588, or to St. Patrick’s Church Renovation Fund, PO Box 60, Whitinsville, MA 01588.
