Uxbridge- Edward J. “Eddie” Ciepielowski Sr., 94, passed away on Mon. Nov. 6, 2017 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. His wife Margaret M. (Ryan) Ciepielowski predeceased him in 1979.

He is survived by 4 children; Karen Ciepielowski of Uxbridge, Kathleen Conlee of Whitinsville, Edward J. Ciepielowski Jr. of SC, and Michael A. Ciepielowski of Whitinsville; 2 grandchildren David Scott and his wife Theresa of Plymouth, Navy Lieutenant Chad Scott and his wife Lori currently stationed in Jacksonville, FL., and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Stella C. Ciepielowski, a brother Henry M. Ciepielowski, and a grandson Christopher Conlee.

Born in Hyde Park, Boston, MA on March 18, 1923 he was the son of Stanley and Teresa (Malisz) Ciepielowski and has lived in the Uxbridge area most of his life.  He graduated Uxbridge High School Class of 1940, and Worcester Boys Trade School Class of 1942.  He served in the Navy during WWII as a Pharmacist Mate 2nd Class, and received 3 Medals.  Eddie worked as a Union Carpenter for many years until his retirement in 1985, and was an honorary member of the Worcester Carpenters Local 107.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post #33, and the Polish American Social & Civic Corp. in Uxbridge where he held numerous titles such as President, and Treasurer.  He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Eddie’s Funeral Home Service will be held on Fri. Nov. 10 at 11am in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd, Uxbridge.  Burial with full Military honors will take place following the service in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Calling hours at the Funeral Home will be held on Thurs. Nov. 9 from 4-7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Eddie’s memory may be made to: The Uxbridge Senior Center, 36 S. Main St. Uxbridge, MA 01569.
