Sutton- Andrew A. “Andy” Nedoroscik Jr., 71, of Putnam Hill Rd. passed away unexpectedly at home Sat. May 13, 2017 after being stricken ill.
     He is survived by his wife of 51 years Patricia E. (Decoteau) Nedoroscik; his daughter Laurie A. Salmon and her husband DJ of Whitinsville; 3 loving grandchildren Paige Salmon, Patrick Salmon, and Ryan Salmon; his sister Kathleen Menn and her husband Anthony of Sutton; his in-laws Edward and Ann Decoteau of Millbury; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and friends. He was predeceased by his son Jeffrey A. Nedoroscik who died Dec. 4, 2012. Born in Whitinsville, MA on June, 16, 1945 he was the son of Andrew  A. Sr. and Rita D. (Ouillette) Nedoroscik and lived in the Manchaug section of Sutton all his life.
     Mr. Nedoroscik worked at the former Whitin Machine Works and ATF Davidson Co. in Whitinsville as a Assistant Plant Manager over 20 years. He then worked as a Foreman and Dispatcher for C&S Lumber in Millbury over 20 years. His favorite job however was being a grandfather. Andy served in the National Guard during the Vietnam era. A former member of St. Annes Church he was an active member of St. Mark’s Church.  He was a longtime Water Commissioner for the Manchuag Water District and volunteered for Sutton’s Chain of Lights. Known for giving the best hugs, Andy was always there for his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
     His funeral will be held Wed. May 17, 2017 from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St. Douglas with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mark’s Church, 356 Boston Rd. Sutton. Burial will follow in Howard cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home in Douglas are Tues. May 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Mark’s Church-Haiti Fund, 356 Boston Rd. Soooooo sorry to hear of Andy passing....condolences to all the family...will never forget growing up in town and all the fun we had up here on Tucker during summer with all us kids.
