Uxbridge- Amelia M. (Giemza) Niejadlik, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sat. May 6, 2017 at Beaumont Nursing Home in Worcester, after a century of life filled with laughter and adventure. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank P. Niejadlik who died in 1997.

She is survived by her 4 children; Janet Haringa and her husband Paul of Monroe CT, Linda Condon and her husband Michael of Middletown DE, Frank P. Niejadlik Jr. and his wife Kathy of Marstons Mills MA, and Tom Niejadlik and his wife Nancy (Carrigg) of Centerville MA. She is also survived by her 2 nieces; Edna and Carol Gucfa, whom she cared for as a guardian for most of their lives, 10 grandchildren; E. Paul, Linda, Joshua, Paige, Kristen, Tom, Peter, Katie, Emily, and Bradley, and 9 great-grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of Millville and Uxbridge, Amelia was born in 1916 to Ludwig and Josephine (Giemza). It was in Millville where she met her loving husband, Frank P. and raised her 4 children. She was a beloved mother, Babcia, and Great-Grammy. Amelia cherished her role as matriarch to her extended family. She was known for her infectious laughter and love of dancing, as well as her delicious homemade apple pie and pierogis.  She loved traveling in the U.S. and abroad, and was defined by her independent spirit even in her last days of life. Amelia was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Parish in Uxbridge for most of her life. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amelia’s nurses and caregivers at Beaumont Nursing home in Worcester, who showed her compassion and dignity in her final years, and days, of life.  

Her Funeral will be held on Wed. May 10 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge, with a Mass at 11a.m. in St. Mary's Parish, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Wed.
