Uxbridge-Walter W. Beahn Jr., 59, of 74 West St. died Fri. June 29 at home after an illness. He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years Nancy (Hersey) Beahn; a son Derrick Beahn and his wife Kelly of Douglas; a daughter Darcie Gauthier and her husband Eric of Uxbridge; 5 grandchildren, Kyle, Drew, Allie, Zoey, and Laney; an uncle, Richard Stowell of Worcester; an aunt, Winni Dooley of Montana; several nephews and nieces, and his beloved dog Kasey. Born in Worcester on March 27, 1953 he was the son of Walter and Joan (Macchi) Beahn Sr. and lived in Uxbridge for the past 23 years previously living in Worcester. He is a graduate of Burnocoat High School in Worcester and has worked as a manager at The Barn shoe store in Newton for the past 16 years. Walter loved his grandchildren, was an avid sports fan, loved the beach and summers in Maine.
His funeral service will be held on Mon. July 2 at 11 a.m. in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery, Douglas. Calling hours in the funeral home are Mon. July 2 from 9– 11a.m.
