Whitinsville - Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Bebe) Grady, 97, formerly of Delray Gardens and Pine St. died Wed., June 27 at Beaumont Nursing in Westboro after an illness. Her husband John T. "Bob" Grady St. died Dec. 6, 1965.
She is survived by her son, John T. and his wife Gwen Grady of Northboro; 4 grandchildren, Timothy Grady of Whitinsville, Christopher Grady of San Francisco, Stephanie Kelley of Westboro, and Judith Harding of Manchaug; 9 great-grandchildren; a great grandson; and 6 nephews and nieces. She was sister of the late Catherine Coty, Costa Bebe, Pondu Bebe, Michael Bebe, and Virginia Roscoe. Born in Blackstone on July 13, 1914 Betty was the daughter of George and Despa (Dima) Bebe and was raised in Woonsocket. She had lived in Whitinsville since 1939 and had been a resident of Beaumont in Westboro the past 8 years.
Mrs. Grady owned and operated, with her husband, Sullivan's Diner on Church St. in Whitinsville many years. She had also worked at the former Flag's Pharmacy and at the Whitinsville Hospital in food service. She retired in 1985 at the age of 70. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed whist parties and playing scrabble. She was a member of the Northbridge Senior Center, and liked crochet and knitting. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Church where she sang in their choir.

Her funeral will be held Sat., June 30 from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 1 Cross St. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Calling hours at the funeral home in Whitinsville are Sat., June 30 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made to St. Patrick's Church, Box 60, Whitinsville, MA 01588.

Our sympathy goes out to you Timmey and your family. I remember Aunt Betty and she was always cheerful and very nice. My wife worked with her years ago in the Whitinsville Hospital. Again, our Sincere Sympathy. Billy and Kathleen Wood Newport, R.I.
