S. Grafton-David A. McNelly, 44, of English Row previously of Douglas died Tues. April 23 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being stricken ill. He is survived by his partner Steve Dias with whom he lived, his parents Clyde and Norma (Ludvigson) McNelly of Douglas; 3 sisters Karen McNelly, Kimberly Carroll and her husband Stephen, and Jaime McNelly, all of Douglas; 3 brothers Duane McNelly of Douglas, Ronald McNelly and his wife Nancy of Uxbridge, and Timothy McNelly of Douglas; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born in Worcester on Jan. 13, 1969 he grew up in Douglas before moving to S. Grafton. He was a graduate of Douglas High School. He worked as a Service Coordinator for Cybex Corp. in Medway for the past 7 years. David enjoyed working out, going to movies, art, music, dancing, reading and warm sunny days. He mostly enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was a member of St. Denis Church in Douglas where he was an altar boy when he was young.
His funeral will be held on Mon. April 29 from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Denis Church, 23 Manchaug St., Douglas. Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sun.
